Glass Melting Furnaces
The melting tank is the heart of the operation. Our glass melting furnace cameras allow operators to monitor the raw material batch distribution, track flame geometry, and ensure complete melt prior to the forehearth. Real-time visual data helps plants optimize fuel-to-air ratios, reducing energy consumption and minimizing NOx emissions while extending the life of the furnace crown and refractory walls.
Forehearth & Conditioning
As the molten glass exits the furnace, maintaining uniform temperature is critical before the forming stage. Syn-Fab’s high temperature glass imaging solutions can be deployed in the forehearth to monitor flow dynamics and identify temperature striations or blockages before they impact the final product.
Forming and Annealing
Beyond the melt, continuous visual inspection is required at the gob forming stage, tin float bath, and the annealing lehr. Monitoring these transfer zones ensures dimensional accuracy, prevents jam-ups, and guarantees that the glass is cooling at the exact required rate to prevent structural stress.
