Why do I need a specialized camera for a recovery boiler?
Recovery boilers burn black liquor, creating a highly corrosive atmosphere with flying molten particulate. Standard cameras will fail instantly. Syn-Fab recovery boiler cameras use continuous instrument-air purging to create a protective barrier over the lens, preventing liquor splatter and dust buildup.
Can your systems clearly monitor the smelt bed?
Yes. Effective smelt bed monitoring requires specialized optics to cut through the heavy smoke and bright combustion flames. Our infrared and specialized visible-light sensors provide high-contrast imaging so operators can monitor bed height, shape, and smelt spout flow in real time.
Do your cameras work in woodyard and bark bin applications?
Absolutely. While we specialize in high-temperature imaging, our ruggedized housings are equally effective in high-dust, high-moisture environments like bark bins and wood chip silos, helping operators prevent bridging and jamming.
Can the camera be removed for maintenance while the boiler or kiln remains in operation?
Yes. Syn-Fab camera systems are designed so the camera can be removed for inspection, cleaning, or maintenance without shutting down the process. An optional self-sealing wallbox automatically closes when the camera is removed, helping protect personnel and equipment from process heat, pressure, and blowback.
