Process Monitoring in the Harshest Environments

The Sentinel series is designed to survive where standard CCTV fails. Featuring synthetic nylon or PIII STEELON housings, available air purging, and specialized sensors, these cameras provide uninterrupted visibility in high-vibration, high-dust, and washdown environments.

Uninterrupted Material Flow Tracking

Track material flow and prevent mechanical failures before they happen. The SF36C and SF31C models are perfectly suited for monitoring mud filters, bleach plants, and wood yard conveyors. The ruggedized housings protect the optics from caustic steam, water spray, and heavy particulate.

The SF30TI Thermal Imaging Camera

For applications requiring precise temperature measurement without the need to penetrate extreme furnace environments, the Sentinel SF30TI delivers continuous radiometric thermal imaging. Designed to monitor bulk material handling, conveyor systems, and storage bins, the SF30TI allows operators to detect hotspots, prevent smoldering fires, and maintain strict temperature control across the facility.

Mud Filters, Washers & Conveyors

Track material flow and prevent mechanical failures before they happen. The SF36C and SF31C models are perfectly suited for monitoring mud filters, bleach plants, and wood yard conveyors. The ruggedized housings protect the optics from caustic steam, water spray, and heavy particulate, ensuring a clear view of your critical processes.

Versatile Mounting & Portability

Unlike dedicated furnace cameras that require extensive wallbox installations, the Sentinel series is built for rapid deployment. Models like the SF20 and SF30 series can be easily mounted using standard 2" NPT pipe fittings, or configured as portable systems for temporary troubleshooting during outages.

Sentinel Series FAQs

Get quick answers regarding the cooling, integration, and environmental protection of the Sentinel process camera series. For full support documentation, visit our Resources page.

No. Because the Sentinel series is designed for exterior process monitoring rather than internal furnace insertion, water cooling is not necessary. The ruggedized housings are designed to withstand ambient industrial heat, with instrument air used primarily to keep the viewing window clear.

Unlike furnace cameras that require massive cooling, Sentinel cameras only require a low-volume air purge (typically 3–10 PSI @ 3–10 SCFM) to create a positive pressure barrier. This keeps the camera housing cool and ensures the front viewing window remains free of dust, steam, and caustic splatter.

In many applications, yes. Mill air can often be used provided it is properly filtered, dry, and oil-free before reaching the camera housing. Contaminated air can introduce moisture or oil onto the viewing window, which will degrade image clarity over time.
